An Introduction to the Anatomy and Spatiality of an Ultrasound
About this course:
This is an introductory module that teaches new users how to use an ultrasound probe. It uses 3D segmentations and ultrasound scans to explain the anatomy, spatiality, and orientation of an ultrasound probe and a scan.
Specifically, it emphasizes:
1. Ultrasound basics, including beam anatomy
2. Orientation of the probe and beam to target structures and subsequent US images generated
The full course allows 12 months of access and can be used as a refresher or resource in addition to an introduction to optimal scanning. Instructors have access to downloadable student progress files via .csv.
For students, it allows them to use a self-paced tour of the material and re-visit the scans and quizzes as many times as they want to solidify their understanding.
