About this course:
This module is a collaborative effort between Kevin Hannon, PhD, and Luís Dos Santos, DVM, PhD, DACVIM (Cardiology).
This module uses 3D segmentations, CT scans, and echocardiograms to help visualize and demonstrate the underlying anatomy, spatiality, and basics of a canine echocardiogram.
We designed this module for novice ultrasound learners to prepare them to perform their first echocardiogram.
After a cardiac anatomy primer, the module introduces spatial awareness exercises and quizzes to help learners understand a complete and informative echocardiogram.
The full course allows 12 months of access and can be used as a refresher or resource in addition to an introduction to optimal scanning. Instructors have access to downloadable student progress files via .csv.
For students, it allows them to use a self-paced tour of the material and re-visit the scans and quizzes as many times as they want to solidify their understanding.
